We’re looking for a Head Chef to join our team at Stockmoor Lodge, someone who’s passionate about cooking, leads by example, and takes pride in creating nutritious, delicious meals for our residents.

Stockmoor Lodge recruit based on values – However, you must have a Level 3 QCF qualification in catering or demonstrable experience in working as a Head Chef or Cook.

As Head Chef, you will:

  • Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring excellence in food safety, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Plan and prepare diverse, nutritious menus tailored to individual dietary needs, allergens, and specialist diets.
  • Manage ordering and stock control to maintain fresh, cost-effective ingredients.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily operations with the Kitchen Assistant and Cook.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with food safety and health regulations.
  • Contribute to special events and themed menus to enhance the dining experience.
  • Work closely with care and management teams to meet residents’ needs and gather feedback.
  • Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised, and fully compliant at all times.
